With a mission of empowering the disabled and to enable them to lead a normal healthy life we conducted and executed the activity of the distributing wheel chair to the all the desirous people. We conducted a detailed door to door survey of the area and along with the help of the local leaders we were able to identify the people who are visually handicapped . About 10 disabled persons around the kadapa district were identified by the team members. A one day programme was conducted at Mydukuri mandal , Kadapa district. This programme was supported by Swamidasini foundation , Hong Kong. Around 10 sticks were distributed to the visually impaired people so that they can easily do their daily works.

PRAGATHI deals with people with various types of disability. Having distributed wheel chair to the physically disabled person we decided to empower the visually handicapped people also.

World Disabled Day

World disabled day was celebrated to spread awareness on the rights and government schemes for the disabled at Mydukur mandal, Kadaopa district at the MPDO office. The programme was attended by 150 disabled persons. The programme was attended by members of MPDO, MRO, IKP AC and PO from RVM office.

PRAGATHI hopes to create opportunities of gainful self-employment for the rural families, especially disadvantaged sections, ensuring sustainable livelihood, enriched environment, improved quality of life, and good human values Disabled people face a wide range of employment disadvantages as they suffer from different types of disabilities with different degrees and intensity. As a result of this, they cannot easily be divided between those who can work and those who cannot . The major barrier to employment by PWD in our society continues to be attitudinal barriers, stereotypical thinking and the assumption that they cannot do the work done by the normal people.
