Women empowerment programme was initiated by implementing the NABARD – MEDP, Under this Programme 30 Members are provisonally selected from the Matured SHGs and to Provided trainings.
This programme aimed at improving the financial position of the women in this mandal by enabling them to learn a new skill which in turn will enable them with income earning activities.
To oppose gender discrimination, sexual exploitation and strengthen the position of poor rural women so that they can create separate spaces for themselves, and also contribute as equals to all development. To positively influence village society by projecting values these are particular to the labour class through their entry into local level civic bodies and the redefining of concepts of power and leadership.
Under the program supported by NABARD 60 women from SHG groups were trained at Mydukur and they also self employed through part of the tailoring training program.
